*DAILY DEW 14TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *BEHOLD HE COMETH* _Key Bible Text:_ *Riding the clouds, he'll be seen by every eye, those who mocked and killed him will see him, People from all nations and all times will tear their clothes in lament. Oh, Yes.* (Revelation 1.7 (MSB)) _Bible Insight:_ *Behold! He appears within the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. And all the people groups of the earth will weep with sorrow because of him. And so it is to be! Amen.* (Rev. 1:7 (TPT)) Every one with their lifestyle, pleasing to them somehow, some following the traditions, culture, religion and some walking through the street and towns, imagining how their lives will be better and how they will get satisfaction in all they do. People striving to meet up with their perceived life's standard and nobody wants to be left behind. Everyone with his or her ego springing up to show that they can be confident in everything. Most people forget that we are living to give account of our lives. Some even get a contract with the enemy of their souls and forget the lover of their souls, making them trust the enemy of their souls more than the lover of their souls. Hmm!!! BEHOLD HE COMETH... days are reducing, time is depreciating, years are passing by, the night is drawing near, teachers have been teaching, preachers are not left behind. Evangelists, pastors and a lot of books talk about it. The great ancient word of life (Holy Bible) speaks expressly and all are still speaking. Rev.2.11 "Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death." (MSB) You may want to ask, who is coming, who is riding the clouds, I will let you know. *He is the King of kings*, that man that gave His life for you and I. He died for our sins to be forgiven. He is coming back to take anyone who obeys Him and listens to His voice, following His word through the help of the Holy Spirit, He sent to us. Are you one? Remember He is coming Like a thief in the night (2nd Peter 3:10) and it is better you are alert for His coming. So that you won't be among those to later be lamenting and sorrowful. Do well to look on God everytime and trust Him always. Stay focused on the heavenly race. *DAILY DEW 7TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *THE BETTER COVENANT* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *But now, Jesus has been given priestly work which is superior to theirs, just as the covenant which He arranged between God and His people is a BETTER ONE, because it is based on promises of better things.* (Hebrews 8:6(GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ Jesus arranged a BETTER COVENANT between His people (first, those who are Isrealites and second & eventually, those who believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus, i.e. the Gospel) and God. This covenant is based, built on promises of better things. Indeed *If there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there would have been no need for a second one.* But God finds fault with His people when He says, *The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will draw up a NEW COVENANT with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. They were not faithful to the covenant I made with them, and so I paid no attention to them.* *"Now", says God, "this is the covenant that I will make with the people of Israel in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the Lord.' For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest. I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs.* Worthy of note and mention, is the promises of better things upon which this new covenant is built: 1. "I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts."; 2. "I will be their God, and they will be my people."; 3. "None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the Lord.' For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest."; and 4. "I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs." Wow. These promises actually make the new covenant a better one. *DAILY DEW 31ST/AUGUST/2021* *THE POWER OF CHOICE* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:* (Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ _*If tomorrow was the final day, and I stand before God at the front line of His judgment, when I'm questioned, how will I answer?_* I should be able to say, Lord, I gave them your word undiluted. Know when to say NO! Saying NO can lead to a glorious destination. No to drugs. No to alcohol. No to sexual immorality. No to Yahoo Yahoo. No to lying. No to exam malpractice. No to abortion. No to baby mama lifestyle. No to baby daddy lifestyle. No to sidechicism. Even the name -- side chick-- is an insult to your dignity. No to being a club or runs babe. No to smoking. No to temperamental anger. No to food. Choose between food and God's anointing or power or greater grace. Guide to making a good decision: 1. The Word: Make Word inspired choices. 2. The Holy Spirit: He is our comforter. Let the Spirit lead you per decision. Don't trust yourself too much. Depend on the Holy Spirit. 3. The rule of thumb method of making decision: If tomorrow were judgement day, will I go and spend weekend with a man or woman I'm not married to? Or will I go and smoke? Or will I go and drink alcohol? Or will I go and masturbate or watch pornographic contents? Or will I habour unforgiveness or malice? Or will I commit fraud at my place of work or business? 4. Principle of Mentorship: The rich invest using other people money and learn from other people mistakes. Learn to learn from other people's mistakes. That's the heart of mentoring. 5. Be purpose and wisdom driven in making your choices: Wisdom is not wisdom unless God is at the center. *MEDITATION* *Sin says, "It is only this once". Meanwhile, it has no plan of leaving. *DAILY DEW 24TH/AUGUST/2021* *MELCHIZEDEK* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *This Melchizedek was king of Salem and a priest of the Most High God. As Abraham was coming back from the battle in which he defeated the four kings, Melchizedek met him and blessed him, and Abraham gave him one tenth of all he had taken. (The first meaning of Melchizedek's name is KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS; and because he was king of Salem, his name also means KING OF PEACE.).* (Hebrews 7:1-2 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ Melchizedek was both King of Righteousness and King of Peace. There is no record of Melchizedek's father or mother or of any of his ancestors; no record of his birth or of his death. He is like the Son of God; he remains a priest forever. (V.3) When Abraham was coming back from the battle in which he defeated the four kings, Melchizedek met him and blessed him, and Abraham gave him one tenth of all he had taken. You see, then, how great he was. Abraham, our famous ancestor, gave him one tenth of all he got in the battle. (V. 4) It is important to recall that it was only Levites that were instructed to receive Tithes. You must recall also that Levites were also descendants of Abraham. However, Melchizedek was not a Levite and he received the tithe from Abraham and blessed him. And there is no doubt that the one who blesses is greater than the one who is blessed. In the case of the priests the tenth is collected by men who die; but as for Melchizedek the tenth was collected by one who lives, as the scripture says. And, so to speak, when Abraham paid the tenth, Levi (whose descendants collect the tenth) also paid it. For Levi had not yet been born, but was, so to speak, in the body of his ancestor Abraham when Melchizedek met him. *MEDITATION* *It was on the basis of the levitical priesthood that the Law was given to the people of Israel. *DAILY DEW 17TH/AUGUST/2021* *PROVE ALL THINGS* _Key Bible Text:_ *Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.* (2 Timothy 2:15-16 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Preacher: There's a difference between everlasting life and eternal life. Everlasting life is the life you have before you come into eternal life. Me: The difference is in the spellings. They mean the same essentially - both are derived from same word in the Greek. Whatever is everlasting is also eternal. Preacher: There's a difference between hardship in ministry and hardness in ministry. Hardship is suffering and being in lack while hardness is about the workload of ministry. (A commentary on 2 Timothy 2:3) Me: Well, the difference is in the bible versions. KJV uses hardness, but if you read some other translations, you find hardship used. Both mean the same. Preacher: There's a difference between Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost is the one that dwells in every believer while the Holy Spirit is specially assigned to Jesus. Me: Well, there was no difference until you mentioned it and even now there's still no difference. The same Spirit we have received is called the Spirit of Christ, and the Spirit of the Son! (Romans 8:9; Galatians 4:6) Preacher: There's a difference between children of God and sons of God. Children of God applies to every believer while sons apply to those who have grown up. Me: Children are sons and sons are children. We are all children of God and sons of God according to the bible. No difference. The bible says WE ARE ALL SONS OF GOD by faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26; Galatians 4:6-7). Preacher: There's a difference between Saul and Paul. Saul was the Old man while Paul is the New man. Me: Not really. Saul was his Hebrew name while Paul was his Greek name. It's the same way Jesus is Joshua in the Hebrew language. MEDITATION: *Listen: It's important to know that nice punchlines are not the same as bible teaching.
