The message we hear will determine what we pray about, and what we pray about will determine our expectations(Focus). If we are busy preaching Christ through the Scriptures, then our prayers will be about enacting the will of God on earth, which is soul-winning and discipleship. As a result, in such gatherings, the souls of men and the spread of the gospel are the things that will dominate their activities and their expectations. If they pray to be healthy and preserved, it will be for the sake of preaching more. If they pray for provision in their finances, it will equally be for the sake of the work. And when you find them praying for an outbreak of the miraculous, it won't be for the sake of making a statement, but that the goodness of God should be seen by men to the glory of Christ. *DAILY DEW 22/JANUARY/2023* *FURTHER WARNINGS CONCERNING THE LAST DAYS* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, BLASPHEMERS, DISOBEDIENT TO PARENTS, UNTHANKFUL, UNHOLY* (2 Timothy 3:2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ There is a strong spirit of *blasphemy* holding sway on world people. Too much playing around and with sacred things. Calling of "Christ", or "God" name without any respect or good use, but as curse words. Use of sacred issues as comedy, etc. Playing with tongues and unnecessary laughing over very important issues about God or the church. This is yet another evidence of the spirit of the last days at work. Beware. Do not be a blasphemer. Disobedience to parents is alarmingly, seriously and quickly becoming the order of the day. Disregard to parental authority is at an all time high and worst still many parents are not even helping matters, as the family and marriage structure is in terribly bad shape in many homes. Some western society have even set in place legal frame work that make children claim rights to "disobedience" to parents. This is nothing but the spirit of end time at work. Ingratitude and a terrible high sense of entitlement is fast becoming the norm. Too many people laying claim to being self made. Too many people too quick to feel they deserve the good things that have come to them. Be careful and be thankful. You have been privileged and God have used men, young and old to extend his mercies towards you. Take time to be thankful to both God and men. And be intentional about it. Holiness is fast being dumped for happiness in this generation. In fact, many people have thrown the idea of holiness out of the window. It is no longer in vogue. Many now assume that God understands, even when they are premeditatedly doing the wrong things. God have mercy! It is time to repent and return to the pursuit of holiness and righteousness. God's righteous expectations have not changed one bit. *DAILY DEW 19/JANUARY/2023* *FURTHER WARNINGS CONCERNING THE LAST DAYS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,.* (2 Timothy 3:2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ When you know that difficult times are ahead, the right response is looking out for the opportunities in the difficulties. The best way you can do this is by Taking HEED to God's word first. As you begin to get closer to God and His word and His leading, you begin to draw strength, wisdom, directions and stability from the Ancient of days Himself, who knows it all and have seen it all. Hallelujah! The prophetic word of God proceeds to inform us why there will be great difficulties and chaotic times in the last days. *"For men shall be lovers of their own selves* -- this stands like the foundation of it all. The self love spirit will bear all kinds of fruits such as, selfishness, self centeredness, greediness, jealousy, envy, etc Why do you think people kill others for money? *covetous,* -- this too is a fruit of self love. Because once all you care about is SELF interest, self preservation, self love, self defense, self, self, self.... You will definitely not think anyone deserves anything good OTHER THAN "YOU"! Thus, the stage is set for covetousness. Jealousy and envy are "brothers and sisters" of Covetousness. Covetousness makes you never satisfied with what you have, as you are always after what others have, that you feel entitled to. *boasters,* --- yet another fruit of self love. You just can't but speak too good about your self. You can't but blow your own trumpet. You can't but magnify your achievements and acquisitions, just so as to make yourself feel good, important and celebrated. Watch it. *proud,* --- Coming close after boasting, is being proud. Your head is already and always big. You feel on top of the world. You don't think you need anyone or anything apart from your own interests. You become arrogant, bossy, and overbearing. You think too much of yourself and too little of others. Before we continue with the list, do a self scan! Check yourself. Are you seeing any of these traits lurking around your heart and life? Don't pamper yourself. Don't excuse yourself. Be brutally blunt with yourself. The good thing is, God already knows. *DAILY DEW 18/JANUARY/2023* *FURTHER WARNINGS CONCERNING THE LAST DAYS* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.* (2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ It is absolutely noteworthy that both 1st and 2nd Timothy contained sharp reminders and warnings concerning the last days. This means it is something the Spirit of God wanted Paul to communicate convincingly. It also shows that God has not left us in doubt as to what we must guard against in these last days. 2 Timothy 3:1 (Message) says, *"Don't be naive. There are difficult times ahead."* Amplified reads thus *"BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]."* New International Version, goes *"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days."* Are you seeing how precise and accurate the Word of God is? The word of God is the Spirit of prophecy in written form. Take it lightly at your own peril. Disobeying it is self imposed destruction guaranteed. If you agree that these days are difficult days, and these times are troubling times, why not humble yourself and deliberately draw closer to God? Guess what? Nothing in this world will stop these difficulties from getting more difficult. This is not peddling bad news or being pessimistic. *DAILY DEW 17/JANUARY/2023* *HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF CHURCH* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.* (Galatians 6:6 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Take in the following additional points. 5. Refrain from a mindset that's ready to quit your church at any slight opportunity. Train yourself to see opportunities in the difficulties you have in or with your local assembly. Don't allow Facebook posts and groups led by strangers you have never met, do not know, and who knows nothing of your existence lead you out of your local church. Learn all you can by all means, but stay in and with your church. Any teaching that necessitate you leave your local church isn't God leading you. We, yours truly included are simply helping compensate for areas of truth your Pastor hasn't taught just yet. We are laboring under him too to build you up. 6. Honour the person and office of your pastor. Back in school days, if you really knew your stuff, you would agree with me that it was easier to excel in subjects you liked the teachers, far more easily that subject you disliked your teacher. The anointing you don't regard, will not also regard you. The most likely person God will speak through to you is your Pastor. He has spiritual jurisdiction and obligations to you. *His seemingly being weak, and not anointed towards you is due to your lack of honour for his person and his office! So stop the idiocy of "where is your church," "will you father me," "ksbzban skxbwjz wksnjwjs,!" in the inbox of people like me that make ministry available online. Honour your man of God, dont make light of his ministry and the fellowship of your local church. My effort here is to make you a very good member of your church, laboring alongside you as a son/daughter of consolation to your local church Pastor. The greatest reward and gratification is that you are doing well in your local church, in life, and business. So start honoring your Pastor and your local church. Communicate in all good things with your Pastor first before you ask for my account.
