*DAILY DEW 8TH/OCTOBER/2021* *The Advent of the Man Behind the Shadows* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *This is a symbol which points to the present time. It means that the offerings and animal sacrifices presented to God cannot make the worshiper's heart perfect.* (Hebrews 9:9 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ *The Insufficiency of the Old Order* The old order utilized outward rules to engage the worshipers. Rules touching drink, foods and various purification processes. These are all outward rules, which apply only until the time when God will establish the new order-- which new order, we have since entered! Christ came as the High Priest of the good things that are already present in this new order. The tent in which He serves is greater and more perfect; it is not a tent made by human hands, that is, it is not a part of this created world but heavenly. When Christ went through the tent and entered once and for all into the Most Holy Place, He did not take the blood of goats and bulls to offer as a sacrifice; rather, He took His own blood and obtained eternal salvation for us. Hallelujah!! In contrast with the old order, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a burnt calf are sprinkled on the people who are ritually unclean, and this purifies them by taking away their ritual impurity. This shows us the amazing power and great accomplishment of the the precious blood of Christ! Christ through the eternal Spirit, offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice to God. His blood has the added benefit of not only ceremoniously and temporarily cleansing us, but it will purify our consciences from useless rituals, so that we may serve the living God. *MEDITATION* *For this reason Christ is the one who arranges a new covenant, so that those who have been called by God may receive the eternal blessings that God has promised. *DAILY DEW 7TH/OCTOBER/2021* *The Advent of the Man Behind the Shadows* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *The first covenant had rules for worship and a place made for worship as well.* (Hebrews 9:1 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ *The Old Order of Worship* A brief understanding of the old order of worship is necessary for those in Christ to understand the privilege and responsibility bestowed upon us. The old order of worship was tied to a physical location and settings. A tent was put up, the outer one, which was called the Holy Place. In it were the lampstand and the table with the bread offered to God. Behind the second curtain was the tent called the Most Holy Place. In it were the gold altar for the burning of incense and the Covenant Box all covered with gold and containing the gold jar with the manna in it, Aaron's stick that had sprouted leaves, and the two stone tablets with the commandments written on them. {Items which were symbolic in the Most Holy Place} Above the Box were the winged creatures representing God's presence, with their wings spread over the place where sins were forgiven. But now is not the time to explain everything in detail. (So sins and atonement for same must be done in the Most Holy Place) This is how those things have been arranged. The priests go into the outer tent every day to perform their duties, but only the high priest goes into the inner tent (The Most Holy Place), and he does so only once a year. He takes with him blood which he offers to God on behalf of himself and for the sins which the people have committed without knowing they were sinning. *DAILY DEW 6TH/OCTOBER/2021* *THE BETTER COVENANT* (The End) _Key Bible Text:_ *If there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there would have been no need for a second one.* (Hebrews 8:7 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ But God finds fault with his people when he says, *"The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will draw up a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. They were not faithful to the covenant I made with them, and so I paid no attention to them."* *Now, this is the covenant that I will make with the people of Israel in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.* *None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the Lord.' For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest. I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs.* By speaking of a new covenant, God has made the first one old; and anything that becomes old and worn out will soon disappear. *DAILY DEW 5TH/OCTOBER/2021* *THE BETTER COVENANT* (V) _Key Bible Text:_ *My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous* (1 John 2:1 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *4."I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs."* Under the new covenant, there is a guarantee of divine forgiveness and total forgetfulness of your sins by God. Hallelujah! God is committed to making you His own forever. Recognizing human fallibility & imperfection, He promises you an open check of forgiveness of sin and complete forgetfulness of sin. Please note that this is in addition to all the other three promises- 1. "I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts."; 2. "I will be their God, and they will be my people."; 3. "None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the Lord.' For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest." Hence, a believer who is living conscious of the entire promises upon which the new covenant is built, will appreciate the intent of 1John 2:1- *these things write I unto you, that ye sin not* Sin is not expected but only recognized as a possibility that could be encountered on the journey towards perfection. In the event that it occurs, (we are not told to live in the consciousness of sin, but in the event that we malfunction, because sin is a bug or malware in the system of the recreated believer), we have an advocate who is skilled in the art of ensuring that we obtain forgiveness and complete forgetfulness of sin from the Father. This should fuel us to pursue perfection, knowing that should anything go wrong inadvertently in the process, we are not canceled out but we are encouraged to "go and sin no more" Hallelujah! *MEDITATION* *And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world. *DAILY DEW 4TH/OCTOBER/2021* *THE BETTER COVENANT* (IV) _Key Bible Text:_ *But now, Jesus has been given priestly work which is superior to theirs, just as the covenant which He arranged between God and His people is a BETTER ONE, because it is based on promises of better things.* (Hebrews 8:6 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ .*3."None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the Lord.' For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest."* Remember this: the promises of better things upon which this new covenant is built are as follows: 1. "I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts."; 2. "I will be their God, and they will be my people."; 3. "None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the Lord.' For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest."; and 4. "I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs." These promises actually make the new covenant a better one. We take a closer look at the third promise. God promises that under this new covenant, there will be knowledge of God upon the people of God. Please note that there is a progression: first, you will have God's laws in your inner person. Your heart will naturally be inclined to follow God's word. Second, you will be God's person. When people ask for Gods ambassadors, you'll definitely be recognize as one. This leads us to the third one: you will know the Lord. You will not need a reminder to know him. You will recognize His voice. You will naturally be inclined to the knowledge of God. You will experience the reality of the ministry of the anointing, where without being taught by men, with God's word opened before you, will be taught by the Holy Ghost.
