Become His friend. In secondary school I read in one of Ben Carson's books how when he worked in a different place from his wife, they could speak on the phone for 6 straight hours. There were no mobile phones then. I said to myself six hours? I could not imagine that kind of jobless joblessness! Only a few years later, in the university; I would stay up till 4 or 5 am every night talking to friends, for consecutive nights. It was called free night call. To all the children here, that was before the days of whatsapp and data calls. I did those 6 hours like it was nothing and would get to class in the morning, tired. So become God's friend. And prayer will be like breathing. It is not enough to be His child...Yes, permit me to say it again...It is not enough to be His child. Become his friend too. (He is already yours) And anyone whose heart touches the Father's becomes a live prayer stream. No buffering. The signal of His 'heart beat' will be so strong, you would barely be able to contain or sustain it without laughing, weeping, rejoicing, groaning, and deep heavy glorious silence; that is, apart from words: in known or unknown tongues. What they always said, was *"Jesus died for you and God raised Him up."* • There is the only way to spell God's love - THE CROSS. All other preaching is out of context. *DAILY DEW 29TH/JANUARY/2022* *ForGIVE & Don't Hold Back* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”* (Ephesians 4:31-32 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The strongest changes and best influences you will experience are the ones that start with you. For instance, the grudge you feel comes from other people, but forgiveness comes from you. This is why you HOLD grudges and KEEP malice, but you GIVE forgiveness. Moreover, a grudge is an invoice of a debt. You want to PAY SOMEONE BACK for something they did But forgiving them is like holding the receipt of a gift. You have given someone what they don't deserve, at a cost to you. So malice makes you a DEBTOR, but forgiveness makes you a CREDITOR. Forgiveness is richer than malice. *DAILY DEW 11TH/DECEMBER/2021* *WELCOME TO THE GOSPEL* _Key Bible Text:_ *And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!* (Romans 10:15 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ In the old testament, an adulterer or adulteress was condemned to be stoned to death before God. That was the law. In the new testament, Jesus said to an adulteress "I do not condemn you, go and sin no more" Believe me, the law had not changed. The penalty for adultery was still death. And Jesus did not come to abolish the law, or change the law. He came to FULFILL it. So He had the right to tell her to go because He was going to bear the penalty for her adultery. He had taken her condemnation upon Himself. He was going to die for her. And so He could tell her to GO....and sin no more. Even they with whom you roll, will quickly realise that something is off about you. You are there, and may look like them, but still you cannot hide. Jesus cannot really be hidden. For no one lights a candle and puts it under a bushel. And that is salvation, the eternal lighting of your inner lamp. Christ in you is an illuminated destiny, a lighthouse of the most high and the heavenly, a beacon in the darkness which cannot be obscured, and so therefore, neither can you. Your essence has been forever changed. You are now a stranger in this world. If this is not your experience; if you feel at home where you once belonged before you met Jesus, so that church things are an addition, just a new activity so that you rock the club on Friday night and rock the service on Sunday morning. Then your rocking of this age is simply evidence that you are not standing on the Rock of Ages *That will be a plastic cross dripping with zobo. And a 'tokunbo' salvation.
