*DAILY DEW 8TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *BRIDLE YOUR TONGUE* _Key Bible Text:_ *Stay calm; mind your own business; do your own job. You've heard all this from us before, but a reminder never hurts.* (1Thessalonians.4.11 (MSB)) _Bible Insight:_ *"I am not afraid of anyone. I will say what I see. I like to say my mind so that I will not keep grudges. It is not good if I can't say what is on my mind, I will say it now. I don't want it to decay in my stomach"* These are what so many people grow with, and what they think is right so as to live freely, but I tell you this has caused so many harms in a family, community, nations and so on. This is simply because, human beings refuse to keep silent and control their thought and tongues about what they see or hear-- especially when they are angry or excited. It is good to say the truth at all times but wisdom is needed in the way you construct or express yourself and put down your words. Wisdom is needed not only in controlling and constructing what you say, but in determining the right timing to say what you have to say. And there is a saying that goes, "if a person talks too much he or she will eventually fall into trouble." Have you been in this category, is it that you must say all what you see or think or feel? Today am letting you know that it will eventually bring you no good but trouble. The bible makes it clear to us in the book of James.3.6 (KJV) that *"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. "* So, you need to control your tongue. You don't have to let out everything you see/feel/think you need to say. Peradventure, you are still in this mess, God can set you free. Only when you lay everything down at His feet through His son Jesus Christ then you will be free indeed. You know, this act can lead to eternal damnation and there is no repentance in the grave. Words spoken can either destroy or make/build you. Why don't you confess now to Jesus and repent from this dead work? It is only Jesus Christ you can tell everything, and get solution instantly depending on how much you trust Him. The book of James 1:19-20 says, *"My dear brothers and sisters, be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. *DAILY DEW 2ND/SEPTEMBER/2021* *GOD WANTS YOU TO BE HOLY* _Key Bible Text:_ *God wants you to be holy, so you should keep clear of all sexual sin* (1Thessalonians 4:3(NLT) _Bible Insight:_ "Holy! Holy!! Holy!!!" The angels in heaven declare. *And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”* (Isaiah 6:3 NIV) This is what the angels see & declare that God is and forever Holy. According to Gen.1.27, *So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.* Since God is Holy and it is written clearly in the book of Genesis that we are the image of God and His likeness, we are meant and created to be holy and live holy even as our Father in heaven is holy *1Pet.1.15-16 says, "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."* This is what God want from us: to be Holy as He is holy, but something makes us otherwise-- SIN (Simple Instruction Neglected). It has separated us from God and makes us look as if we cannot be holy even as God is Holy and want us to be holy. There is a good news! Do you want to hear this good news? You can be *HOLY* even as God is holy. How can this be? Jesus is the way out of sin to Holiness. He came to die for your sins. He took all your sins away & nailed it on the cross of Calvary where He was hung naked to bleed and die for you and I. All you need to do is to acknowledge Him and confess your sin to Him and He will give you His righteousness. He will sanctify you. Remember, it is only a sanctified vessel that can meet the master's use. (2Tim.2.21) It is the joy of the Lord that everyone repent and live holy as He is holy in every respect. But you have a role to play, it is now left for you to choose a godly lifestyle, have a godly sorrow over that youthful lust, bad habit, & unforgiving heart and let your godly sorrow work out repentance that leads to salvation & love for God and holiness in the eyes of God. *DAILY DEW 27TH/AUGUST/2021* *ARE YOU WORKING?* _Key Bible Text:_ *I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.* (John 9: 4(KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Are you working? A lot of people do not like to be asked this direct question. It sounds to so many like they don't really know what they are doing. It is so direct that it may make some people to react in a way that is not pleasing depending on the situation. It also creates so many questions to human minds. It makes some feel guilty and think they are not faithful enough. A lot of times this question comes from a person to the receiver because the person have not seen a positive result of what is expected of the receiver. This can make a natural person to be down and not be able to move forward, or continue with what he or she embarked on. But for a visionary person, a goal setter and a Child of the Most High indeed, this direct question should call you for self examination of things you have been occupying your mind with and the way it has been affecting your life positively or negatively. You have to find the way out to do things that won't make the question come up again in a wrong approach. You won't be questioned when the work you do is giving the answer even to those that have not met you face to face. In our Bible text, Jesus knows the work He is sent to do and He can't wait to finish it before the night, when no man can work comes. Can you also boldly say you know the work you are sent out to do by your maker (God) and be sincere that you are doing it? Do you really know the work you are doing, have you been sent at all? If you have been sent and you know it, congratulations in advance, because every work has a reward. You are going to give account of all your work and through that you will receive your reward. *Jeremiah.17.10 But I know! I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve." (NLT)* If you have not known the work you are called to do, go back to the one who sent you to this world and ask Him (God) to enlighten you and to help you know what you are called to do. Do you know that a particular work had been assigned for you to do for the kingdom purpose? Have you found it? Are you doing it? Get back to work while it is day before it is night when no man can work! *DAILY DEW 25TH/AUGUST/2021* *PROOF OF LOVE* _Key Bible Text:_ *This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.* (John.3.16 (MSB)) _Bible Insight:_ Have you ever wondered why you love to do things first for yourself? You care so much for yourself which is good, but have you also asked yourself what does God's love look like? How can you prove the love that you said you have? God proved His love for the world by giving a costly sacrifice. He gave His all. His only precious gift to the world. And afterwards still waiting for the response of the world to the love He has shown. Is it not that your own love is that someone should love you before you show them love too? Is it not that you do your own things first not even minding what the other person is passing through? Your own is that you need to have every necessary thing before you can remember anyone that doesn't have any? Is that what you do? Love is more than passion. It leads to sacrifice that makes you do what pleases your maker (GOD) not yourself. Love overlooks mistakes and focuses on the uniqueness of others. Have you been seeing this way or what you always see is the ugly part of people that comes around you? You need to prove your love by first loving the maker of your life and let Him fill your heart with His own love that does not lead to lust. Remember this. You will want to always be in the presence of the person you love so much all the time. How long do you seek God if truly you love Him? It is only when you love God that you will not be in hurry in your secret place. *DAILY DEW 20TH/AUGUST/2021* *THE GREAT COMMANDMENT* _Key Bible Text:_ *The proof that we love God comes when we keep his commandments and they are not at all troublesome.* (1John.5.3 (MSB)) _Bible Insight:_ From generation to generation we have always been hearing about commandments, rules and regulations. What is it all about? Who brought it? Is it useful in this our era? The children of Israel got the commandments which were known as the ten commandments but they failed to follow it strictly. What makes men to do what's wrong when the right thing has been laid down? Is there anything called great commandment that will supersede all the commandments and as well make the rest of the commandments to be fulfilled without difficulties? These are questions that come to the mind of men that has not gotten the great commandment or have not understood how it will works. If only we get this great commandment all other rules or regulations to fulfill purpose and destiny will be so easy to follow, but majority have gone astray looking for a short cut to please God. Without first obeying the commandments of God it will be impossible to please God and even to fulfill God's call for one's life. *What is the Great Commandment?* Matthew 22:37, 38 & 39 makes it clear to us; it says *(Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (KJV)* It is only when we have this that we can fullfil purpose and be at peace with all men -- Matthew 22:40 says *"On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (KJV))."* You don't have any excuse if you fail to love because the God we serve is a loving God and He himself is Love. *1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
