*ARE YOU LED?*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."* (Romans 8:14 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
We have refused to be led!
Being led of God legitimises your sonship
Submit to the ordinance of the purpose and plan of God.
Jesus was not gently led to the wilderness but he was driven to the wilderness.
Jesus dealt with the flesh in the wilderness
Our greatest hindrance to being led of God is not a demon but the flesh.
Until flesh is dealt with, we can't be easily led by God
The spirit of this age is on a rampage.
Until you die, you can't be led.
The evidence that the spirit of the age is on rampage is found in what christian youths do on social media
You can't follow God unless you are willing to be led..
God's ways are not always interesting, exciting,
_MEDITATION:_
*"The question is not what is in it for me?"*
*"The question is what is in it for God? ."*

*Faith Series: Samson- an unlikely man of Faith* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him. And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done."* (Judges 14:5-6 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Performed Acts of Righteousness (Heb. 11:33)
We also see Samson's faithful dependence on God at the end of chapter 15. After defeating a thousand men with the jawbone of a donkey, Samson became very thirsty. Samson realized that God was the sustainer of his life and asked God to quench his thirst, confidently knowing that God could. At first, Samson's prayer seems disrespectful and out of anger toward God. Samson, however, also acknowledged that he should glorify God because it was by his power that he killed 1,000 men. Furthermore, Samson did not want God's glorious victory to be diminished by the surrendering of one of God's servants to his enemies. Viewed in that light, his prayer was the furthest thing from being disrespectful. Because of his sincere prayer, God sent water to revive Samson. As James writes, "The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much" (Jas. 5:16). Certainly, it was "by faith" that Samson "performed" this act of righteousness.
Became Mighty in War, Put Foreign Armies to Flight (Heb. 11:34)
As a judge, one of Samson's responsibilities was to de-liver God's people from oppressors (Judg. 2:18). Samson was faithful to God by carrying out God's purpose for him. The Scriptures tell us that Samson sought "an occasion against the Philistines" (14:4). Samson found two separate occasions to afflict the Philistines in chapter 15. The first was "a great slaughter" (v. 8). The second was the occasion where Samson killed a thousand men with a jawbone of a donkey (v. 5). Samson certainly became "mighty in war" and "put foreign armies to flight" for the sake of God and his people.
God has given us a purpose as well. Paul said that we were "created for good works, which God prepared before-hand, that we should walk in them" (Eph. 2:10).
_MEDITATION:_
*"Like Samson, we must be faithful to God by carrying out his purpose for us. We must constantly seek occasions to do good works for God and men. Only then may we be "mighty in war" in God's army."*

*Faith Series: The Courage of Gideon* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets."* (Hebrews 11:32 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
2. It takes a courageous faith to throw down the altars of Baal.
“Israel’s religious leaders were ‘Modernists’! They had turned away from the good old gospel of salvation by faith in the God who had brought Israel out of Egypt. They had said: ‘How do we know that Jehovah is the only real God? or that He is even the greatest of the gods? After all, we have never seen Him; nor has anybody else ever seen Him. How do we really know that our forefathers were right in what they said about Him? We have only their word for it. They were probably mistaken. Look at the magnificent temples and impressive gods of the surrounding nations. No wonder they despise our own inferior-looking religion. Their gods can be seen. There can be no doubting their reality. Why should we cling to the worn-old faith of yesterday? Give us modern gods and an up-to-date religion!’†(J. Sidlow Baxter).
It certainly takes courage to break down the modern altars of Baal. It means being unpopular when we denounce apostasy, but fearless, courageous believers are needed who will say with Paul:-
*"What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice."* (Philippians 1:18 (KJV))
_MEDITATION:_
*"For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death."* -- Philippians 1:19-20 (KJV)

*MARCHING TOWARDS MATURITY*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed."* (Acts 19:20 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
God's word is so powerful! The way it changes lives is indescribable. No case is hopeless! Satan knows the power of the WORD hence he's corrupted it for many with human traditions and enticing words of human wisdom. But the truth will prevail!
Many believers don't have faith in the power of God's word. They will pay huge sums for anger management classes because they don't believe the word can destroy every work of the flesh. So, when some of us say we don't need such classes they think it's because we've never had such issues. No, we've been there but the word worked! I'm talking about real bible study that births a vibrant prayer culture, not some human philosophy wrapped in bible verses.
The only thing that subdues the works of the flesh is the Spirit! People come into church with different kinds of weaknesses. If our meetings aren't filled with spiritual activities able to deal with these issues, the works of the flesh will thrive in our midst! In other words, if we are not praying, studying, and doing ministry together as we should, people will be involved with other things. That is the beginning of scandals. No congregation will rise above the quality of spiritual oversight and training they receive.
_MEDITATION:_
*"If we preach based on the trends of today, we cannot impact the next generation with the same messages since trends will always come and go. If we preach the eternal gospel of Christ, our message remains timeless in an ever changing world. Let's preach the gospel! Selah."*

*Ways to Improve Your Communication*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience"* (1 Colosians 3:12 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
Today I write as someone in the trenches with you.
How can we speak to each other in a more loving tone?
What do you do when you know you need to ask for forgiveness, but you just don’t want to?
Why can’t others see things the way I see them?
We can learn a few lessons from Paul’s words in Colossians 3:12-13
1. Put on humility. It looks good on everyone.
Some of us look good in certain outfits, but not so good in others. Some might like bright colors and others dark colors. But, one thing is for certain – we all look good when we wear humility. James 4:6b says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.†I don’t know about you, but I don’t want God to ‘resist me.’
2. Try on some compassion, kindness, and gentleness.
Too many times I did not love my wife and kids with a spirit of compassion, kindness, or gentleness. In fact, I lived as if I tore those garments off and instead put on harshness, anger, and a critical spirit.
It’s the kindness of the Lord that leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4). Be kind to one another.
3. Remember to be patient with everyone.
Paul tells his readers to put on patience. Doesn’t he know I don’t have the time for that (pun intended)? In 1 Thessalonians 5:14, Paul writes, “And we exhort you, brothers and sisters: warn those who are idle, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with everyone.†Sometimes we warn, other times we comfort, and sometimes we help. But, we’re always to be patient, with everyone.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you."* (1 Colosians 3:13 (GNB))
