*DAILY DEW 10/SEPTEMBER/2023* *Pursue Purity* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart."* (2 Timothy 2:22 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Five things you must understand about purity include: 1. Purity is not a point we cross; it's an ongoing pursuit. Purity is found in the pursuit of God's presence. If you are not after God, you are not going to be pure. 2. Replace "weakness" with "wickedness" when dealing with lust. Our biggest issue is that we misdiagnose our problem. We call sexual sin a "weakness" instead of what it is – wickedness. We call it "defeat" instead of "disobedience." Therefore, we are "working on it" instead of "repenting." 3. Control what you consume. What we watch, listen to, and read can bring contamination to our hearts, causing them to be far from purity. 4. Flee lust; don't flirt with it or fight it. The Bible doesn't call us to fight lust but to flee it. Lust is stronger than you - you can't win. God's remedy is to RUN! Like Joseph did. The reason why many don't flee lust is because they lack fear of God. 5. Your tribe determines your vibe. Purity thrives within a godly community. Your environment is crucial. Bananas don't grow in Alaska due to the climate. *DAILY DEW 21/AUGUST/2023* *How to Hear God’s Voice* _Key Bible Text:_ *"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."* (John 10:27 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ 1. Get into God’s word to hear His voice. If you want to hear God’s voice, study His word. 2. The Spirit Speaks. Spiritual preparation and active participation are required to hear the Spirit. The Holy Spirit speaks through impressions, promptings, and suggestions, bringing things to remembrance. 3. God’s voice is hidden in God’s wisdom. God’s ways are in line with God’s wisdom. 4. Pay attention to peace. 5. Lower the noise. When we lower the noise we can hear His voice. 6. Unmute God. You can’t hear God’s voice today if you didn’t heed His voice yesterday! Repent for disobedience and start obeying the last thing God told to do. 7. Write down vivid dreams. 8. Don’t neglect prophecies. The prophet of God does not replace my need to hear from God. *DAILY DEW 31/JULY/2023* *A Beginner's Guide to Prayer* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."* (Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) ) _Bible Insight:_ 1. Close the door to distractions When you come to prayer, eliminate distractions. Like intimacy in marriage, closeness with God happens behind closed doors. 2. Know that God Loves Your Presence God loves your presence more than you love His. Psalm 149:4 reveals that the Lord finds pleasure in His people. God's love for us is not based on tolerance but on deep affection. 3. Just be with God Learn to be with God, not just "seek" Him. In Exodus 24:12, God asks Moses to come up to the mountain and be there. This step encourages us to just 'be' in the presence of God, not necessarily doing anything but simply resting learning to be still before Him (Isaiah 30:15). 4. Don't be overcome by guilt when you falter Train your mind not to feel guilty for missing a day or two. If you didn't spend time in prayer like you may have wanted to, you shouldn't be overcome by guilt saying, "I'm sorry," instead, you should come back to prayer saying, "God, I've missed you." 5. God loves you despite your sin Lastly, never let sin prevent you from prayer. When Adam sinned, God didn't cancel His appointment with him. *DAILY DEW 13/JULY/2023* *Keys 🔐 to Operate in the Anointing* _Key Bible Text:_ *“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."* (Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ 1. Have a Solid Foundation The most important thing for a believer to have before they operate in the power of God is a firm foundation in their walk with Christ. One of the most dangerous things someone can do is jump into ministry and try to operate in the anointing without having a solid foundation. 2. Receive an Impartation If you want to receive an impartation from God, you must first serve the purpose of God. Learn to serve with the capacity that God has given you. If you skip this step, you risk receiving an impartation, but nothing happening afterward. 3. Beware of Fear and Timidity These feelings are big blockages for the flow of the anointing. As a person who desires to be used by God, one of the hindrances that satan will try to use is fear. Know that sometimes you will minister out of faith, and other times you’ll minister out of obedience to God’s command. 4. Association Matters Your environment is HUGE regarding developing what’s been deposited within you. Get close to anointed men and women of God who can push you to grow. Often, when they point out weaknesses or character flaws within us, God uses that to catapult our development. 5. Yield to God The anointing is for deployment.
