*Harsh Ordinances*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."* (Matthew 5:20)
_Bible Insight:_
The teaching of Jesus in Matthew 5, 6 & 7 is arguably the greatest of all his teachings. So much that it is recorded in the last verse of Matthew 7:28 & 29 that the people marveled because He spoke as one with authority and not as the scribes.
It's no gain say that these teachings hold ordinances that are not so easy to abide by as they are selfless and far from self seeking.
Matthew 5:39 -45 says, *"But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."*
Interestingly Jesus was not found wanting in all the ordinances as His very life was a reflection of his teachings and more.
In this time and season when everyone has become a teacher on social media take time to meditate on Matthew 5,6 & 7.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."* -- Matthew 5:48

*ARE YOU A SOLUTION OR THE PROBLEM?* (I)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."* (Luke 7:22-23 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
There are those who attack Christianity and claim all churches do is collect money, give anointing oil, pray pray pray, and sing sing sing...instead of changing Nigeria or contributing to society.
But the real marvel is the Christians who believe them.
One politician wrote something like that once about how Nigeria is full of churches on every street but yet there is no real change....only religion
He didn't talk so much about other prayer houses.
He didn't talk about all the great works churches have done in society, in education, in business, in charity...he made it seem like church was the opposite of such things
And Christians were reposting it.
Another Nigerian wrote about how the church can improve Nigeria and used the write-up to denigrate two or three pastors and their wives, who had recently been in the eye of the news.
And Christians were saying "my thoughts exactly!"
Facebook should have a pankere icon, if only at least for online flogging.
Don't let people who have lost their faith in God sit on your brain and quench your lively spirit in the name of progressivism, activism, feminism, or humanism or any such thing.
"The Bible supports slavery"
"The Bible supports misogyny"
"The Bible is against civilisation"
"The Bible is this and the Bible is that"
It is the philosophy behind the worship of Satan. The belief that somehow God is the villain and Satan is the victim, and God is just victimising Satan.
That God is somehow wicked. How can he allow this or allow that.
_MEDITATION:_
*"The devil has been casting aspersions on God's integrity since pre-Adamic days. His envy and rebellion deceived even angels. Today, those angels are demons."*

*DAILY DEW 3RD/APRIL/2022*
*Be PURPOSE-DRIVEN* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*Jesus says “For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of Him who sent me. And this is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.â€"* (John 6:38-40)
_Bible Insight:_
1. Live Your Life With A Clear Purpose
Jesus and his disciples were on their way to Judea from the North (Galilee). If they had taken the normal route, they would not have passed Samaria. In fact, there are at least 3 different routes from Galilee to Judea, yet Jesus made a deliberate trip to stop at this place - Samaria. The Bible says in v.4 “Now he had to go through Samaria.â€
Why? Because He knows His purpose – to bring the message of God’s love to the Samaritans. He has come to meet the woman at the well, and gave her the message of new life that He can offer – “living waterâ€. And did He succeed? Yes, in fact, very well. The Bible says (v.39) “Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Him because of the woman’s testimony.â€
Jesus lived His life with a purpose – a very clear one.
Do you know your Father’s will? It all starts with God. People often ask, “So what do you want to achieve with your life?†This is not accurate. The right question for us is, “So what does God want you to achieve with your life?†The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfilment and happiness. It’s far greater than your family, career, and ambitions. God revealed to us, from Scriptures, the grand purpose of our life – to know Him and make Him known.
_MEDITATION:_
*"For some of us, we need to know Him more – devotion, prayer, worship. For others, we want to make Him known – to those in our homes, offices, school. Make this year a purposeful one. Let God accomplishes His will through you. God wants to work through you."*

*THE WORD STILL WORKS* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air."* (1 Corinthians 14:8-9 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Strange things are happening more and more everyday. Wars. Suffering. Wickedness. Inhumanity. Etc. And the only hope still remains JESUS.
Dear Believers; do education, do business, do politics, do entertainment, do socials; but above all DO JESUS. As it gets darker, shine brighter.
Pray for the world, and preach the gospel.
Whenever you meet people, make sure that even if you have no silver or gold, you can say
"Such as I have, give I unto you.....take salvation, take redemption, take justification, take love - God's love, take healing, take repentance, take transformation, take this holiness, take this light of life, take life"
Live for the kingdom.
Believe in the gospel.
Lift up Jesus.
He is the only hope of men.
Don't let anyone make you feel odd or bad or silly for going to church/Christ or talking about your church/Christ.
A little secret: those friends and colleagues who talk down church/Christ need it the most. Don't let them sway you with doubts. Bless them with faith.
_MEDITATION:_
*"When you walk into a real night club; prepare to be filled with fun, cigarette smoke, hard drugs, booze and hot music."*
•
*"And when you walk into a real church; prepare to be filled with grace, the living Word, the Holy Ghost and fire!"*

*DAILY DEW 13TH/MARCH/2022*
*Faith Series: Samson- an unlikely man of Faith* (I)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson... Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,"* (Hebrews 11:32-33 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
When one thinks of the great men of faith from the Bible one tends to think of Abraham, Noah, or Moses. The eleventh chapter of Hebrews, which many have referred to as the "Great Hall of Faith," includes these men and many others like them. Surprisingly, however, this list also includes the Old Testament judge, Samson.
One may ask, "Why is Samson included in this list of faithful men?" This is the same Samson who decided he wanted an evil Philistine woman, rather than a godly Israelite woman, for a wife (Judg. 14:1-3). This is the same man who, because he lost a bet with thirty men, killed and robbed thirty other men to pay-off his debt (14:12-19). He is the same judge of God's people who went in unto a harlot in Gaza (16:1, 2). This is the same Israelite that fell in love with a Philistine woman that tricked him into breaking his Nazarite vow (14:12-19). On the surface, it appears that he deserves to be on the list of "God's most unfaithful servants," rather than Hebrew's "great men of faith."
However, the Hebrew writer continues in Hebrews 11:33-34 to explain that the men mentioned in v. 32, including Samson, were men "who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, be-came mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight." This passage teaches that, despite his failings, Samson was a faithful man of God. A closer look at some of Samson's faithful acts reveals why the Holy Spirit included him in this list.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Have you seriously wondered why Samson was named among the heroes of Faith? Well, if you have not, you need to and if you have, why not take time to find out."*
