*DAILY DEW 29TH/MARCH/2022* *THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MARRIAGE* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless--that's your job, to bless. You'll be a blessing and also get a blessing."* (1 Peter 3:8-9 (The Message)) _Bible Insight:_ There are stages that every marriage will go through. These stages can make or mar your marriage. Hence, understanding what these stages can bring is key, so you know what to do and how to make the most of each stage. The number one stage of marriage is:- 1. The honey moon stage: This one is usually the easiest and the one that attracts many singles towards marriage. Alas, it is just an introductory stage of marriage that starts informally from serious courtship and more formally after the wedding night. It may last from a month to a year, more or less depending on the couple. PS- Some have learned to move from a short term honey moon stage, to a life time honey moon, sometimes called, honey years. The key to this switch still lies in understanding every stage of marriage and working towards the best of each stage. 2. The reality stage-- This is when the real person shows up. All the sugar coated-ness and best-foot showing, gradually begins to wear off. Shocks and surprises at differences of the two individuals begins to rear their (ugly) heads up. At this stage, Mr Right becomes Mr Wrong or Mr Not So Right, while Mrs Right, wants to remain Mrs Right even when she is wrong. At this stage, there are two other possible Stages that would naturally come up next, depending on the parties -- it is either the Retaliation Stage or The Renovation Stage. This reality stage is usually where many lose it and thereby forgo their rather shortlived "firebrand, together forever love" they had professed to each other. _MEDITATION:_ *"Every stage of marriage can either make or mar your marriage. *DAILY DEW 28TH/MARCH/2022* *THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MARRIAGE* _Key Bible Text:_ *"In the same way you married men should live considerately with [your wives], with an intelligent recognition [of the marriage relation], honoring the woman as [physically] the weaker, but [realizing that you] are joint heirs of the grace (God's unmerited favor) of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered and cut off. [Otherwise you cannot pray effectively.]"* (1 Peter 3:7 (Amplified Bible)) _Bible Insight:_ A successful Marriage is the union of two IMPERFECT OPPOSITE SEX living together IMPERFECTLY with imperfect principle but extending the grace of forgiveness to themselves/each other. Always remember that *"A man is happy when he is productive but a woman is productive when she is happy."* The man who helps his wife stay happy, will have for himself a more productive wife and the wife who help her husband stay productive, will have for herself a more happy husband. Communication skills is one of the greatest asset of a successful marriage. Invest in having a more fruitful communication. *DAILY DEW 26TH/MARCH/2022* *EARTH-OCCUPYING & HEAVEN-BOUND* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, _waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God,_ because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!"* (2 Peter 3:10-12 (ESV)) _Bible Insight:_ Living heaven bound in a sin bound world, is the ultimate call for everyone who believes that Jesus came to save us from sin. Prophetically, this present heaven and earth will not survive the coming judgment or apocalyptic end but ultimately we have a reassured and guaranteed hope of heaven. While we are here, while time lasts, while there is breath in us, with our gaze on Christ and His soon return, we are challenged and called to live as Kingdom Agents, bringing God and his mandate on earth -- for this we are taught to pray, *"Your Kingdom Come, your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven!"* We, you and I, all believers on earth, are the ones to bring about the will of God, the mind and move of heaven down here on earth. Not because we can salvage the earth from its pending doom but because we must win souls to Jesus Christ and save poor sinners from the coming doom. As we with one voice proclaim the coming of the day of God, that is, as we prepare for His second coming, we are living a life of impact on earth. What are you looking for in God? What exactly are you looking for in God!? Come to the point when you stop praying for a breakthrough. Your breakthrough lies in weightier matters. The youths of the church of Christ must wake up and stop pursuing the wrong things. If we try to make it by the world's template, what makes us different?! The youths that don't know God are already bowing and worshipping satan. We can't afford to join them. The end time wealth is for those whose hearts are set on God. Caleb had a different Spirit because he was willing to be led. God's intention is to bring his glory upon all flesh. But when our flesh rules over our spirit, we will not get to the place God has in mind for us. Ask yourself *"Am I too much alive?"* You need to die completely and not just daily. We are sons and inheritors. We are the ones that will deliver the kingdoms of this earth and the ends of the earth to God. When our hearts begin to burn for the nations, when the things of this world starts coming we won't make a big deal of it.
