*DAILY DEW 27TH/ OCTOBER/2021* *ENFORCING THE KINGDOM OF GOD* _Key Bible Text:_ *"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."* (Romans.14.17(KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ God is good and His mercy endures forever. He has a great plan for all His creation, especially man. God is still mindful of everyone here on earth. Psalms.8.4 (KJV), says *What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?* He is still faithful to His word that He does not want anyone to perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). Indeed, the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. However, it appears that we see or find the opposite of this today. A lot of people are more subject to the devil than they are to God. *This is must become our prayer today: "Oh Lord, let Your kingdom come!"* There is work to be done. There is a provision to enforce the kingdom of God here on earth which also implies to set the world right. To enforce the kingdom of God here on earth can only be achieved through the power of God in you when you receive Him. John.1.12 (KJV) says *But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name* Accepting Christ and having His power in you is not for enjoyment alone. It is to enforce His kingdom here on earth. He has given us power that is above every other power. The power of the Lord in you is to enforce the kingdom of God, exercise the power of God in you through studying and digging deep into His Word and applying it to your daily activities. This will foster the presence of God that you carry and this in turn will be a blessing to you and your generation. Enforce the kingdom of God and let the devil be in trouble and confusion because you received Christ. Stand for holiness, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into Him and they are safe. *DAILY DEW 26TH/ OCTOBER/2021* *CONTROL YOUR ANGER* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools". (Ecclesiastes 7:9 (ESV.))* _Bible Insight:_ Mehn, the level of maturity that I see myself exhibiting in certain situations recently amazes me. Like, something that would have made me react very angrily in the past would happen these days and I won't even bat an eyelid. My reactions these days dey even shock me. 😂 I know that my relationship with God has become deepened than it used to be, but then I don't know if I should attribute this new level of maturity to that or if it is just old age playing out or if it's a combination of both. You know old age is nobody's mate. 😜 That being said, the truth is that some fights are just not worth the energy at all. Most often than not, we allow ourselves to be so eaten up by an offense or a particular situation that we exert so much energy that should have been channeled into something more rewarding into responding to an event that can actually be overlooked or at most responded to with lesser force. This is how some of us have ended up blowing things out of proportion for ourselves thereby landing into a bigger shit. Does it mean you should always let things go unattended to? Absolutely not, however, you can learn how to determine what offense is truly worth your energy, how to respond in a calmer way that will not get in the way of your mental wellbeing, and above all, how to shock people by simply pressing the ignore button, especially those who do certain "evil" on purpose just to trigger you to make you act stupidly. Remember that some of these people are the ones who will not hesitate to make a video of your stupid moments to post online just to tarnish your image. It might surprise you to know that some offense is geared towards triggering you to do stupid things that can be used against you in the future, this is why you need to be wise enough to think through certain stuff before responding. MEDITATION: *Don't always be swift to respond especially when you are angry. *DAILY DEW 25TH/ OCTOBER/2021* *A GAMBLER OR AN INVESTOR* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.* (Proverbs 22:3 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The gamblers, for example, are those who fail to give tithes and follow other divine and natural principles of financial breakthrough, and still wonder why they are not prosperous. But who are the investors? I liken the investors to the ants. Proverbs 30:25 (KJV) says *"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;"* The ants are investors in this context. They don't wish that all will be well in the winter (coldest/rainy) and play away the summer (hottest/sunny) season. You can't wish away the seasons of life. There will always be seed times and harvest times. When we play away the seed planting season, we will be horrible and regretful during the harvest seasons. Many older persons live in regret wishing they can turn back the hands of time. If you are relatively young and reading this, how are you making investments for you short, medium and long term harvest? Your destiny is in your hands because God have placed you in charge of it. Yes, you can surrender your destiny to God but God cannot do for you what He has created to do through you. Don't be among those who waste the opportunities life throw at them, but later run to beg others and depend on others to meet up. You don't have anyone to blame even if you started off with some bit of a disadvantaged background. Maximize the seasons of your life. Be an investor and not a gambler. *DAILY DEW 24TH/ OCTOBER/2021* *A GAMBLER OR AN INVESTOR* _Key Bible Text:_ *Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.* (Galatians 6:7 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ We fail to do a lot of things but we still expect things to work out well, claiming that God will just have mercy on or favour us, that's a gambling spirit. When we ought to pray or read our bible daily, but let other things take that time, and still assume that all will be well, with our spiritual growth, that's a gambling spirit. When we ought to go out and do evangelism with the rest of the church, or even alone, but we allow other activities to take that place, and we just assume that God will understand, that's a gambling spirit. When we ought to save for the rainy day, or read well and prepare hard to pass an exam or test, but we do otherwise, and hope that somehow God will take control, that's a gambling spirit at work. The will of God for you as a son, is that you are wise enough to do all things decently and in order, putting priority in the right things, and taking no responsibility for granted. Are you a gambler or an investor? An investor does what he or she needs to do because of a certain outcome they are expecting. You can't plant laziness and reap prosperity. *DAILY DEW 23RD/ OCTOBER/2021* *Faith And Works* _Key Bible Text:_ *Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.* (Romans 3:20 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ This passage deals with true faith and counterfeit faith. Counterfeit faith is dead (v.17). Why is it dead? It does not have works. And the works James is talking about is works of love (v.15-16). Jesus talks about such faith in Matthew 25 in the parable of sheep and goats. People who enter God’s kingdom don’t just claim to have faith, but demonstrate this faith by compassion and love. True faith results in good works and bears fruit (John 15:5-6). Counterfeit faith is deceptive (v.18). True faith is not just intellectual, theoretical or some kind of feeling. It is accompanied by a transformed life. Even demons believe and fear God. Our pious life, good intentions, religious duty, and church attendance can be deceptive if not accompanied by a transformed heart and life. Jesus says we have to be born again. True faith is illustrated by Abraham and Rahab. In v.21, Abraham was justified by works and in v.24 Rahab was also justified by works. Does this contradict Ephesians 2:8 and Romans 3:20 which says no one will be justified by works? Paul and James are not contradicting each other. Paul is talking about justification and James is talking about demonstration. You cannot be justified by works, rather we are justified by grace alone, through faith alone and in Christ alone. However, this justified faith is never alone, but accompanied, validated and demonstrated by works of love. Abraham believed in the promise of God, and it resulted in his act of offering Isaac on the altar. Rahab believed in the promise of God, and it resulted in providing refuge for the spies and risking her own life. True faith is trusting God’s means to save us through Christ. True faith results in putting our life, hopes, dreams and decisions on the line and choosing to trust and obey God, even when it does not make sense or it's inconvenient to us. MEDITATION: *How do we know if we are being transformed by the gospel? What can be the evidence for our genuine walk with Christ?
