*DAILY DEW 30/MAY/2022* *COMMISSIONED* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *“Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be)."* (Matthew 28:19-20 (Amplified)) _Bible Insight:_ You see, my understanding of ministry makes it very hard for me to put musicians on such pedestals that makes them feel so entitled. Because you see, the person doing the most in the church is the SOUL WINNER. If you don't get this, you might need to read the whole of the gospels and Acts again. So, the major person Jesus is going to commend in the church is the SOUL WINNER. Take away his work, there will be no ministry! The soul winner is any Christian that has received training for the work of ministry. Do we pay those? If we don't pay people for winning souls, which is the major work in the church; the major work that makes the work of Jesus come to effect in the lives of men, then I can't be thinking of paying people for ushering, playing instrument, etc. Does that mean I don't value them? Oh, is money how we value people's service in church now? Who are they serving? Jesus? He values them! We value them too! And we value everyone serving the Lord freely in His house. The church is such that the keyboardist is grateful for the usher, not that he feels he is the engine driving the ministry and everyone else should be grateful that he's around. Poor mindset. This is why folks in church who are growing in the word should be the ones to rather learn to play one or two instruments. Such men don't feel entitled in the ministry. They know they've been blessed and their service is nothing but gratitude. I really don't get this talk about, 'So with the much work and effort and money I invested in my craft, I should be playing in church for free?' Who is this one really? Are you to serve the Lord with something that doesn't cost you at all? Some left their families, sold their houses, forfeited career opportunities to serve Jesus but you have invested too much in music to do it for the Lord freely? *DAILY DEW 23/MAY/2022* *THE NECESSITY OF HUNGER* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *“Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh."* (Luke 6:21 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Jesus recognized the place of being hungry for righteousness. He called them blessed. If just simply being hungry for righteousness is considered blessedness by Jesus, it means to NOT be hungry for righteousness is not acceptable and not recommended. So the question is, DO YOU HUNGER FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS? To answer that question, it would require you understand what being hungry for righteousness means. To understand this, let's consider what Jesus answered John the Baptist when He was to be baptized but John protested at first! *_But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: FOR THUS IT BECOMETH US TO FULFIL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. Then he suffered him._* (Matthew 3:14-15 (KJV)) The response of Jesus shows that He was hungry for righteousness. He recognized that FULFILLING ALL righteousness was a necessity. Aside Jesus being born of the Holy Ghost by Mary, this hunger for righteousness, this consciousness of the NEED to fulfill all righteousness is KEY to him being able to lead a blameless and pure life. This is what being Hungry for righteousness means. It means being on the look out to do the things that are righteous. In this world of sin and lust, if you are NOT hungry for righteousness, you will always condone unrighteousness and you will always make excuses for falling into sin! _MEDITATION:_ *“How hungry are you for righteousness? *DAILY DEW 16/MAY/2022* *RELATIONSHIPS & CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything."* (1 Peter 4:8 (Message)) _Bible Insight:_ Let's take a quick look at certain concerns or areas that can affect positively or otherwise the turn out of a relationship, that ought to lead to marriage. 1. Not communicating seriously your intentions: This borders on defining your relationships. If as a young man, you intend to marry a lady, then don't casually suggest it. Seriously present your intentions. Be clear, direct and bold. Purposeful ladies do not enjoyed being dated/courted without their knowledge or express consent! As a young lady, do not be satisfied with suggestive conducts of a young man. Expect him to be clear about his intentions. If need be, find a way to poke his intentions. Ask questions: for instance, "where do you see this relationship/friendship leading to?" "What exactly do you hope to achieve from our friendship?" Or take a more indirect route like, "Do you think it is okay for a guy to be interested in marrying a lady and not clearly say it but they carry out suggestive conducts around the lady?" Etc 2. Consistently keep in touch: Do you limit your care and attention on the lady you expect to take you seriously to only Sundays or whenever you meet? It is not a sign of seriousness if you do so. A lady with such level of interest from a brother, is safe to assume it is a common likeness, that is not going anywhere serious. When you find a lady you have prayerfully decided to marry, whether before or after communicating your intention, practice consistent keeping in touch. When you have agreed to court a brother or have a vested interest in a brother who is also coming close, reciprocate the need to keep in touch regularly. It is not a one way street! 3. Double check before you conclude: As a young man, after communicating your intentions, sometimes a lady may be unsure about your seriousness, perhaps out of their past or other people's experiences. Before you conclude that the young lady is not taking your proposal or interest seriously, find away to pass the message one more time. Passage of time, could have made such a lady rethink her decision. She may even be praying that you ask her again! *DAILY DEW 9/MAY/2022* *WISDOM PRINCIPLES FOR KINGDOM WEALTH CREATION* (The End) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men."* (Proverbs 22:29 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Three additional things to bear in mind as a Kingdom Wealth Practitioner:- 1. Your Labour: You can increase the quality of your labour. For instance, every good professional, like lawyers, doctors, etc have developed their own skills, beyond the common level. The quality of your labour must be consistently and deliberately improved upon! 2. As you advance in age, your labour will depreciate. Bear in mind that the quality (or perhaps quantity or both) of your labour will reduce as you advance in age. The principle of diminishing returns will set in, over time as you develop and deploy your labour. Having this knowledge will make you prepare yourself for the grey ages of your life. Thus, you must apply time management & financial literacy skills to counter this! God has not given us money-- he gave us time, ideas and strength (power). The way you manage your time will dictate the way you make money. As you advance in age, your labour reduces and your money reduces unless, you use your time & money well, by adhering to the principles earlier discussed in this series (Check previous Daily Dews) *When you speak of wealth, the measure of your wealth is not measured by the amount of money you have now, but by the duration of the financial comfort you enjoy when your labour and time is not involved.* Assuming you don't go to work, will you still sustain your standard of living? Make preparations today that will free your labour and time without you losing inflow of income/money. It gives you more freedom to do the work of God, such as missions and evangelism. Having this as a financial goal or vision is key! What arrangement are you making at your earning stage in life? 3. To depend on your children should not be your financial backup plan for your grey years. A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children. *DAILY DEW 2/MAY/2022* *NEW BREED BIRTH NEW BREED* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."* (2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ To understand the background or context of 2 Corinthians 5:17 helps to see certain things very clearly. These things can be simply summarized as New Breed produces New Breed. Let's see:- In 2 Corinthians 5:14(BBE), it says, *"For it is the love of Christ which is moving us; because we are of the opinion that if one was put to death for all, then all have undergone death;"* The first thing was that God's love was great in the lives of the Apostles that they were moved to seek the need to tell others about Christ. These were new creature men themselves, burning with conviction that Jesus died for all, therefore all have died. But even more importantly, since Jesus died for all, all who live must consider themselves alive at the mercy of Christ! *"And that he underwent death for all, so that the living might no longer be living to themselves, but to him who underwent death for them and came back from the dead."* (2 Corinthians 5:15) Then comes the next vital point-- *"For this REASON, from this time forward we have knowledge of no man after the flesh: even if we have had knowledge of Christ after the flesh, we have no longer any such knowledge."* (2 Corinthians 5:16) The reason being referred to, is the fact that every new creature man is to live for Christ. So we don't consider their tribes, their backgrounds, their physical looks, etc. Rather, we focus on the one who died for them; whose they have now become and should live for His pleasure. Thus, it is concluded as follow: *"So if any man is in Christ, he is in a new world: the old things have come to an end; they have truly become new."* (2 Corinthians 5:17) Those who are in Christ, code named the New Breed, have a new identity. They have a new focus, they have a new vision, and new purpose and mission for living. And this NEW is all about Christ-- To Know Him, and To Make Him Know!
