START FROM YOUR COMFORT ZONE

I have a saying, "If you can't leave your comfort zone, expand it!"
There is alot attached to this life we are in.
And I believe that the first step to making any great achievement is simply getting started.
I used to have an intense fear of public speaking. However, when I decided to take up responsibilities and face this fear, I joined a group in my fellowship.
This group was more like my comfort zone because I was familiar with the people there and also in my fellowship.
I started from there, and kept expanding my comfort zone and today I can comfortably speak in any kind of audience regardless of the size, with the help of God.
I have friends that do 20, 30, 50 and 100 push ups at once. When I finally decided to start doing push-ups every morning. I kept procrastinating because I couldn't imagine myself doing 20 push-ups. It's not as though am not physically strong, I am just Slim and Healthy π.
But when I understood this concept of starting from my comfort zone, I wake up doing just 3-4 push-ups. My dear, a push-up is a push-up oh ππ.
And gradually, I've increased. I now do 10 and above. (I feel I deserve some accolades ππ)
Also, I have goals for workouts on weekends. People jog from my street to the "central venue" for the workout as part of the fitness process.
But I can't jog to that far place π©
My plan now is boarding a vehicle to and fro to the central venue and join them there.
And I believe I'll gradually develop the strength and courage to jog to the venue.
The goal is just to get started.
Someone said "You mustn't be Great to start, but you have to start to be Great".
So start!
I am not against being in your comfort zone but just make sure you are doing something there.
Please, don't be lazy inside your comfort zone. If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl.
And peradventure you feel you can't crawl, roll. Keep rolling (like fish rollπππ). Ensure you are moving!
I see people who give excuses why they can't change a habit, learn a skill, or do something useful with their life.
And they are just seating quietly in their comfort zone, doing nothing there.
But if they were willing enough to start from their comfort zone or from wherever they can easily start from it would have given them a head way to achieve what they've set out to achieve.
Finally, I know it's not easy. I know it's challenging but I also know it's not impossible.
I also have a saying.. "There's no absolute comfort in life not even in your comfort zone"
So I encourage you relocate from your comfort zone but if you can't, expand it.
Thank you so much for reading..
My name is Johnson Crystal kalu.
And The Top is ours!
PS. Because I do just 10 push-ups doesn't mean am not strong ππ
