HOW TO SELL ANYTHING
It's one thing to have a good product and it's another to sell it. Today I'll be sharing with us how to sell anything. Actually am not a salesperson, Infact I have not sold any product in the store or market before, but I have sold ideas, techniques, new beliefs and message of hope to thousands of persons. And I feel you can understand how this stuff works and be able to sell virtually anything. Aside from the constraints associated with location, type of customers, quality of product. We all have within us the ability to sell whatever that can be sold. This concept of marketing strategy is called Content Writing or CopyWriting (Not Copyright) but I love using the term "how to sell anything to anybody". Now, understand that, everyone will want to use your products and services. But at least they expect you to convince them why they should. The idea of CopyWriting is just a simple, concise description of your product and services and reason why people should use it. Like on my Hopeful Me Store (App) I came up with a tagline: "No need to own a website, download Hopeful Me Store and sell your products and services at zero cost" Looking at this statement: You'll understand that it's an e-commerce site where people advertise their products and people come to buy them. Also, I've triggered my audience into the consciousness that they need a website to promote their products and services. And now reminded them that it's also very expensive to own a website. And more importantly, I provided a solution for them, at zero cost. The idea is to get your customer's attention, remind them of what their need is, give them suggestions on how you could help meet those needs. Do you know this popular quote in Animal Farm? "Every animal is equal, but some are more equal than the others" This is a hit in Copy Writing! It tells you every animal is equal. Animal in this context could be a product or a service. Which is literally true; virtually all the cars drive, all the detergent wash, all perfumes have scents etc. But the clause comes in. "Some are more equal than the others" This is also an absolute truth. Some cars, detergents, perfumes are more better than others. This is the whole idea. So when next you try to sell something, first let your customer know he can still do without your product. At that stage, he will lose the consciousness that you want to cajole him or convince him to buying the item. He or she will feel you are just being indifferent with selling and more concerned about solving his/her need (which should be your goal). After then tell him or her the value that item will add to him. For example let's use shoe. You come to my shop to buy an expensive shoe (coming to my shop simply means you actually need a shoe, meeting me to sell means you need a conviction why you have to buy it.) Then as the seller I can tell you, "This shoe is quite expensive you don't necessarily need it. The one you are putting on is lovely. But if you buy this, you'll then have two lovely shoes and you could easily interchange them. My goal is just to see you look good. And If you have the money buy this shoe. This is the reason why, I left my house and rented this shop just to sell to people lovely shoes! " At this point I've made you feel worthy of having that shoe and you'll do everything within your reach just to get it. Well, there's more attached to selling, you could apply this to your own kind of sales. Also learn and acquire the much skills you can. Regardless of your kind of job, you will always sell something. Whether a salesperson, speaker, teacher, politician, economist, doctor, lawyer etc you are selling either an ideology, solution or a product. So, thank you so much for reading.
