SURVIVING LOVE
HopefulMe
"The most difficult path to Love is loving without expecting anything in return"
I used to think that I just have to love people who love me. I felt love was a reciprocal thing.
I was always concerned to know if someone truly loved me and I also compared the love with mine. I never wanted to waste my time caring for people who would never do same for me.
Naturally, there are friends who won't take care of you, they won't call you, text you, care about you or even appreciate the good things you've done for them. But you should let Love Survive.
No matter how painful it is, you have to continue loving without expecting much in return.
I know this might sound a bit odd but I believe that's a huge step to living a better life.
"Keeping up the good works even when nobody is listening"
You are actually filling a huge gap in the life of people you show love to.
Never let anything defeat love, let your love survive in this world filled with envy, malice, hatred, ungratefulness etc.
God is love. The more you love people, they more you show them how beautiful God is.
People suffer heart break, depression, mental stress etc because they expect a reciprocal of love and care from people they've shown love too; and when this happens, emotional breakdown set in.
Also, don't compel people to pay you back for the love, support and care you've invested in their lives perhaps through force, extortion, enmity and other social vices.
Love is a free gift from God. Freely we've received, freely we'll give.
God will definitely bless you for standing firm in love.
Like I'll always say "Show love, feel loved, but don't make love"
Take care.
