NO VICTIM IN STRUGGLE

NO VICTIM IN STRUGGLE
HopefulMe
An antelope sees a lion eating and begins to feel sad. The antelope wished it could be strong like a lion who is able to go after any animal, kill and use the flesh as food.

The same lion sees the antelope eating grass and it begins to feel sad. The lion wished it had a simple life like the antelope. The antelope never had to work for food. The grasses, insects etc are all over the jungle so it just needs to eat whenever it feels like. But the Lion knew it had to struggle and fight each time it was hungry unlike the Antelope that has its food everywhere.

These two animals kept wishing to be like the other. Each day they felt life was unfair to them and never found fulfillment being themselves. And this........is some of us.

God has made us different. He has given us different abilities, uniqueness and of course challenges.

If the Lion was created to only feed on grass, maybe God wouldn't had made it strong and fierce. It would have been as calm as an antelope. But because it had to struggle to feed, it was equipped for it.

On the other hand the antelope is weak animal so God also made provision for it's feeding. It doesn't need to fight or struggle to feed.

In reality, some of us are like the Lion. Life is just a struggle for us. We have to work, struggle, stay awake all night before we achieve our goals.

But then as a lion, we have the innate strength, resilience, vision, precision to do the required work. Whenever we close our eyes to these abilities, we will end up feeling like victims and comparing ourselves with people who life seems as if it comes easy to.

And yes, some of us are likened to be an Antelope. We are weak, we are not very skilled, talented etc. But we don't struggle too much to achieve our goals.

Life yields to us at the slightest effort we put.

We are not equal. We all have different level of grace and favour we operate with.

You just have to get in tune with yours.

When I was in school, I knew people who didn't need to read or prepare much for the exams. Just by paying attention in class, they pass in flying colors.

People like me had to read thoroughly to pass my exams.

And I still know those who start reading from the beginning of the semester and even few minutes before the exam before they can pass.

But at the end of the day, what stands out is that we all passed in flying colors.

The day I'll decide not to read much and be like the first group who barely read. I may not do well in the exam because what I read wasn't sufficient enough compared to how my brain works.

I just want to encourage you not to feel like a victim. If you have to fight to win, be proud of your struggle.

If you feel you don't always have to fight, that's great, we can always adjust and improve. But until then, keep fighting.

God loves you and He has made provisions for your welfare.

I hope this message inspires you.

Thanks for reading. I'm Johnson Crystal Kalu.

Stay hopeful.
