A Christian walk

You have given your life to Christ does not make you an 'immortal'.
You now a born again Child of God won't make you see a beautiful lady and she'll become ugly in your eyes.
Being a Christian won't make you see a huge amount of money to steal or bribe to collect and the money will turn into paper in your eyes.
When you give your life to Christ, the desires of the flesh are not taken away. In fact they become more provocative than usual.
But one thing is sure, as a Christian you are expected to overcome this flesh. And this can only be achieved through your knowledge and walk with the Holy spirit.
The bible says walk by the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the desires of the flesh, Galatians 5.
Note that the desires of the flesh are always there as an individual but God has given us his Spirit to assist us.
Now let's listen attentively, sorry; let's read carefully. This article is not very long. Exercise a little patience, don't let this flesh we are talking about stop you from reading through.
Galatians chapter 5 vs 19 down stated the 'Works of the flesh' and also stated the 'Fruits of the Spirit".
Note the differences; the flesh has its works, the Spirit has its fruits.
The works of the flesh are very evident because it has the "natural" desires of a "natural" man. Everybody wants satisfaction, pleasure, fame, etc.
Now this desires are not in-line with what God wants from us.
The only way to overcome LUST which is of the flesh is by replacing it with LOVE which is of the spirit. Same applies with envy and goodness, anger and joy etc.
Now for you to posses the fruit of the Spirit, it means you must let the Holy Spirit plant his seed in you, you must water this seed, let it germinate, let it grow and then let it start bearing fruits and this fruits are the fruit of the spirit and the seed is the word of God.
It takes time and consistency to let this seed bring forth these fruit. Self-control, Long-suffering, Patience, Love etc are not easy attributes to posses.
But by walking with God, constantly reading the word of God etc you'll get to bear more fruits.
So I urge us to keep fighting the good fight of Faith.
