EMPLOYABILITY AND YOUTHS

I once met a man who said that though a lot of youths are unemployed, the problem is not unemployment but unemployability of the youths. I am very sorry to say that I cannot but agree with him. I have seen "graduates" with out skill, some cannot even speak good pidgin english. A lot of youths lack the adequate soft skills to excel in the competitive world out there. How do we really pinpoint the problem source and what is the way out?

From my own opinion the problem with youth and unemployment in this part of the world is the economic situation of the country. Once there is work, whether educated or not, everyone will have something to do.
