It's Not Always What it Seems
Category: InspirationLabel: #joedbest
Earlier today I was siting on one of the seats in the office meant for the hostel porters; I since they were on strike I decided to use that place to do some findings. After a while a colleague saw me and was like "what are you doing here" ; I was still hesitant to answer the question when he concluded that I have come to resit for my failed courses. I didn't take it to be anything because I have learnt to ignore somethings despite the fact that he said it out to the hearing of others that were there. I just smiled and told him I came for mobilization of which he didn't believe. He then started telling me how many they were in their class and how many that graduated.
From that statement I derived that he thought that since the number of people who graduated are few, he is not worthy or that I was not worthy to be among the few who could graduate.
This is what has been happening to most of us in life; we think we are among the masses and so what happens to the masses will also happen to us. We think we are not worthy to take up that challenge and break that record. We think we have low IQs, and so if it is not done by the people we think are capable we cannot do it.
My dear, this is a trick the devil uses on most of us. He poisons our mind and make us not to work to our full potential. Your mind does not control you, it's the other way round.
Some of us are fast at concluding. We see someone making it or doing something; instead of making proper investigations we just conclude. #things are not always what they seem.
To end this, I just want to say that you can be better instead of being a gossip. You can be better instead of putting eyes into some other people's affairs. You can be better instead of being a pessimist.
Thanks...
