The Real You
Category: PoetryLabel: Zumster's hub
A woman in labour who doesn’t know the fate of the birth of her baby ,so it is hard to place things in other when your mind wonders to something else ,your thoughts incubate a different scenario and your mouth speak a thousand words that do not harmonize the three actions.
Sometimes you are left in doubt about your capabilities and the decisions perceived out of your own understanding of the phenomena you behold. Nevertheless, they say no two sides of a coin are the same, whatever one person sees as good ,another sees as bad. Most times your heart long for things your mouths can’t speak of,you hide them so you do not create a futile impression which may tarnish your image, you die in silence.
The question lies,”How long do you keep holding your unspoken words inside, swallowing in your intentions, settling for less, how long do you keep hiding the real you,the you that is not apologetic for being different, that knows your flaws but still stands strong, the real you that believes so much in your capability and wants the world to know you exist.
It’s sad you still bask in the lies you tell yourself and hide the true you,so that you can belong in a society that frowns at your existence. In the end you ask for wisdom to pilot through the hazards and still maintain total sanity. Till you stand up for yourself ,things will never be in order because you a mere mortal under the mask of another.
