OUR STORY; A PART OF US.
Category: InspirationLabel: JoelationNg
Every single day is not just a chance to enjoy the breath of life but a plus in telling our story.
Our story ranges from every period of survival, dark moments, daring adventures and celebrations.
Many times, we either see our story as irrelevant to talk about, another opportunity to get pitiful remarks or too difficult to share with anyone.
Our story is a part of us (maybe, makes us) whether we like it or not, accept the issues therein or run away from it.
At times, we want to tell it when it's basketful and almost overflowing 😂.
Other times, we're triggered by an action or a situation that gives us the opportunity to do so (tell our story).
A few times, we tell them in bits - by way of sharing personal experiences with people (or networks), drawing out lessons for them to hold unto and learn from.
Whichever style we apply in telling our story, we must take into cognizance our reader or audience, how well they can relate with it and what we hope to achieve in the end.
Sincerely, writing our story could take pagesðŸ˜. It can be tiresome, time consuming and discouraging especially when we struggle with the right choice of words, painting the picture(s) perfectly and passing our message the best possible way.
Similarly, telling our story could take hoursðŸ˜. Infact, the whole day as a result of so much experience we've been through, countless battles we've fought and the large chunk of people we've come across in life.
Hehehehe...😋
Sometimes, telling our story requires great ‘attitude of conviction’; we need to say things and paint the right scenarios that'd convince our listeners or readers in a way they can connect with it and understand the whole gist.
Also, our approach in doing the duo matters alot. We mustn't be compelled to write or tell our story. It takes a natural effort to do so.
It's YOU writing or telling it unapologetically; without giving recognition to the pains and struggles you went through, the mockery, failures and mistakes that came and the popular opinions attached.
I mean, the FAQs like ‘What will people say about me?’ and so on.
Your story is another person's (or people's) source of inspiration. It could be a means of deriving pleasure in doing wonders and shaking the earth with goodness.
They need it to get going, pick one or two points and build on the lessons.
Gorrit?!
Our story can be told, heard or read.
The length of the pages do not matter,
But the lens from the pages is worth the read.
You can tell a story - YOUR STORY!
