The bitter truth
Category: MotivationLabel: The life of a lazy writer
So they say, there is a little truth in every rumor.I think its true too. Most times, when we want to achieve something, we tell our close friends and family members. Why? Could it be that we are also asking for their approval.
Well, approvals from elders are surely important because an old adage says that"what an elderly person sees when sitting,a young person will not see it even when he/she climbs an iroko tree. This is because an elderly person has so much experiences which a young person doesn't have. But most times what the older generation see is actually not how our own generation see things. This is the reason why most parents dictate courses their children should in higher institutions. Some parents will not allow their children to study Theatre Arts in school. They will be like, you want to be an actress so that you will be kissing in movies🤷.If not that I developed passion to study Law,my father would not have allowed me to study anything but Law.Most times,we revolt and go ahead to study our dream courses, and we are termed "the black sheep"of the family.
I initially didn't want to be a model but some of my family members and friends have shown me that I have the potentials. But when I asked someone one day,he said"you want to be a model for a clothing line?🙄 From there you will start making porn".
Do I really want to be that? NO.
But the bitter truth is that there is an underlying message to all these things people actually have in their heads. The people who have earlier occupied this industries did not show good examples or make a good name. The bible says that a good name opens doors. This is the reason why people feel that everyone ends up like their predecessors.
The second truth is that there are a lot of people who are in the industries just to destroy young people. The bible says that the devil goes around, looking for whom to devour ( 1 peter 5:8).
When you see this kind of temptation, run away.Don't be that girl who used to chase her dreams but has been chasing men or sleeping with them her dreams.
So I thought to myself,I can fill in the gaps.I can be my own model,my own model of fine personality.
Chase your dreams, stay strong and don't fall into the devil's trap.God will see u through.
